Books in the Woods Quarterly Subscription Boxes

Every three months, you'll receive a beautifully curated box filled with books and thoughtful extras—tailored to the unique interests, reading level, and preferences you share with us.

Whether you’re nurturing a young reader, supporting a curious teen, or diving into meaningful reads yourself, our subscription boxes are rooted in the belief that stories should reflect who we are, where we are, and what moves us.

Each box includes:

  • Three books, hand-selected just for you

  • Add-ons like journaling prompts, zine kits, stickers, seed packets, bookmarks, or small handcrafted items

  • A reading experience designed to spark joy, connection, and imagination

  • Personalized based on reading level, favorite genres, book length, authors, and special interests

  • Your subscription supports the Books in the Woods Community Bookstore—a nonprofit literacy hub in Pine Mountain Club, CA committed to expanding access to books in rural communities and supporting readers of all ages and abilities—no matter their reading level or learning style.

Children

(Ages 5–10) $45 / quarter

Inspire a lifelong love of reading with stories that build confidence, imagination, and empathy.


Includes:

  • 3 handpicked books tailored to your child’s reading level and interests

  • A seasonal craft, activity, or nature-based project

  • Stickers, affirmations, or coloring postcards

  • Occasional surprises like seed packets or story prompts

  • Supports literacy access for children in rural communities

  • A zine sample or DIY zine kit

  • Bookmarks, stickers, or small wellness extras

  • Helps fund teen storytelling programs in rural communities
