Literacy Resources

Our Literacy Resources hub makes it easy for the community to explore and engage with reading at every level. Here you can download free PDF guides to support literacy at home, discover the latest independent books for your book club or personal library, find recommended children’s titles to spark a love of reading, and connect with local programs, libraries, and literary events. Whether you’re a parent, student, or lifelong reader, these resources are designed to inspire, empower, and keep the joy of reading thriving in our community.

Literacy at Home

Support your child’s reading journey right at home with our easy-to-use resources. From downloadable PDFs and step-by-step guides to engaging reading checklists, these tools are designed to help families build strong literacy habits together. Whether you’re looking for tips to spark a love of books, track progress, or create meaningful reading routines, our at-home resources make it simple and fun.

Adults & Literacy

Reading isn’t just about learning—it’s about connection, growth, and well-being. Adults can strengthen literacy skills and nurture a love of books by joining local or online book clubs, participating in writing groups, and exploring resources designed for lifelong learners. Engaging with stories and community not only sharpens the mind, but also reduces stress, sparks creativity, and fosters meaningful connections.

Multimedia Storytelling

Stories come alive in many forms—through music, visual art, live performances, and community festivals. Our multimedia storytelling programs invite people of all ages to experience the power of narrative beyond the page, celebrating creativity and culture in ways that inspire, connect, and entertain.

Inspiring the Next Generation

We’re dedicated to encouraging youth to embrace reading, writing, and creativity—whether in school, at home, or with friends. By providing engaging resources, fun activities, and supportive programs (including for homeschoolers), we help young people discover the joy of storytelling, strengthen their confidence, and build lifelong connections through the power of books.

Local Literary Events

Our community comes alive through events that celebrate reading and creativity for all ages. Families can enjoy interactive storytimes, teens can dive into role-playing games and zine-making, and adults can connect at book clubs and writing groups. Seasonal book fairs and pop-up bookstores bring authors, readers, and neighbors together, creating spaces where stories are shared, imaginations thrive, and a love of books is passed from one generation to the next.
